Knolls of Birmingham Community Association
The Knolls of Birmingham Community swimming pool will open Memorial Day Weekend, May 28, 29 and 30, and weekends only until Saturday June 18th.
Following June 18, the pool will remain open 7 days per week through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5th. The pool's operating hours will be 11:00 am to 7 pm.
Please remember that all residents are required to have their Pool Tags and sign in the log book. If you need pool tags, contact Krista Kautz, 610-358-5580, or by email: kkautz@pencomanagement.com
Changes to Trash Service
The trash pick-up schedule remains unchanged – Monday and Thursday – each week.
1. The use of Allied’s blue 96 gallon toters is now Mandatory. Allied Waste will not pick up any trash not contained in the toter.
2.You may not overfill the toters so the lids will not close, nor place additional bags of trash curbside. All trash, rubbish or cuttings MUST be placed in the 96 gallon toters.
3.All trash within the toters must be secured within a tied and secured trash bag. Loose unbagged trash within a toter is a violation
4.The toters shall be set out with the openings facing the street no earlier than dusk the evening prior to pick up and removed no later than night fall the day of collection.
5.All toters must have an operative lid and its use is mandatory. Should the lid break of fail to work, it is the homeowner’s responsibility to request a replacement from Allied Waste.
6. Individual homeowners shall be responsible for the timely (within 24 hours) clean-up of any debris, blown refuse and/or litter.
7. Violations will be administered on a $50.00 per occurrence basis.
8. Recycling will be collected on an every-other-week schedule. One lidded 64-gallon recycling toter is provided.
9. The following are recycling dates for the remainder of 2011:
June 9, 23; July 7, 21; August 4, 18; September 1, 15, 29; October 13, 27; Nov. 10, 24; Dec. 8, 22.
